We’re not just protecting the environment—we’re bringing joy to senior citizens.

Every Monday

An Event for Grandparents

The fun-filled environmental protection event unfolded gradually amid laughter and cheerful chatter.

Monday symbolizes a new beginning

It also kicked off a wonderful day for the grandparents.

Everyone sat in a circle, deftly opening bottles and peeling off labels while humming a little tune. Their dedication and enthusiasm were even more infectious than those of young people!

All of these bottles were collected through the “Bottle Safety Initiative ” ( ). To boost our recycling rate, we rely entirely on these adorable “environmental guardians” to manually complete the first step of pre-processing—removing caps, peeling off labels, and sorting by color—with each step carried out meticulously and systematically. They can help us increase our plastic bottle recycling rate by more than 10%!

The event was attended by both newcomers who were there for the first time and loyal regulars who never miss a session.

Some grandparents come every week, rain or shine. They’re not just here to help with environmental protection; it’s as if they’re coming to “work”—driven by a sense of responsibility and the satisfaction of knowing they’re needed.

There are a few elderly men and women who are particularly inspiring; they’re practically always at the park, quietly going about their work and contributing so much to the cause of environmental protection. Every time I see them bent over, carefully sorting through bottles, it warms my heart.

It is precisely these grandparents who have made the “Bottle Safety Project” not just an environmental initiative, but a heartwarming endeavor.

Chatting about everyday life with old friends you know well, exchanging a few words with new acquaintances—as the conversation flows back and forth, you’ll find yourself talking freely;Whose grandchild got into college, who recently learned a new song, who switched to a different brand of blood pressure medication… These trivial details of daily life are precisely the kind of social interaction that older adults need most and cherish the most.

What we offer is not just an environmental initiative, but an opportunity for seniors to stay connected and engaged with society—

Most of these kind-hearted residents live not far from the park, which makes daily commutes easier and facilitates ongoing interaction. They don’t ask for much: a group of old friends, a meaningful cause, a stage where they can feel needed, and a visible act of altruism that fosters ongoing interaction.
